The Charities...

Halton Haven Hospice

Halton Haven Hospice cares for people aged eighteen years and over with life-limiting illnesses living in Halton and surrounding areas. We provide support to patients and their families according to their individual needs. As a Charity, we make no charge for any of our services.

Whilst we have a contract with the local Primary Care Trust (PCT), the majority of our income comes from the generosity of the local community. Situated in beautiful grounds in Runcorn, we have 12 in-patient beds and 60 places a week in our Day Hospice; over the last 30 years Halton Haven Hospice has cared for and supported thousands of local people in Halton.

The Mark Gorry Foundation

The Mark Gorry Foundation was set up in 2009 by Mark Gorry during his battle with Testicular Cancer. The foundation has two main goals, the first is to positively impact the future of cancer treatment through a range of fundraising activity. In their first 18 months MGF have given over £60,000 to cancer services and people affected by cancer.

The second goal is to educate men on the signs and symptoms of Testicular Cancer, and to promote & encourage self examination. The Mark Gorry Foundation take their Ball Squad to school, colleges, workplaces and shopping centres informing people of the signs and symptoms - encouraging men to 'love their balls’.

Once you are part of the team we will offer you as much fundraising support as you need. You will be presented with all the information you need for the challenge by the Halton Haven Hospice and Mark Gorry Foundation Events Teams.

We have organised a seminar at the Stobart Stadium, Widnes to be held by Kerry Kayes, Chairman of CNP Professional.

Kerry Kayes, the founder of CNP Professional, is a former national bodybuilding champion. He has been involved in sports nutrition for many years and his dietary expertise has established him as 'the man in the know' to sportspeople worldwide.  He advises athletes as varied as premier league footballers, rugby clubs, cyclists, triathletes, round the world yachting teams, runners, boxers and motor sports teams.

British Cycling turned to CNP Professional, one of the UK’s leading sports nutrition manufacturers to become the official supplier to their team. Kerry has hosted many seminars including to the SAS!

We are sure the Super Cycle Team will find the seminar extremely interesting and of great benefit!
